The Hechinger Report’s helps the public learn why education and education journalism matters; they shine an intense spotlight on inequities in every story, exposing problems, while seeking out and reporting on solutions. The Hechinger Report has covered early childhood and student parent topics in a mix of reported stories, op-eds and columns. Their coverage on childcare is more important than ever due to the focus COVID-19 has placed on how on children, families, and child care providers have been impacted. By supporting Hechinger Report, we hope their independent coverage will humanize stories, encourage problem-solving and innovation among education influencers, and continue the elevation of awareness amongst the general public to drive political will for policy change in early childhood and adult learning.
