Thaís Oliveira
Meet Thaís, Program Coordinator at Imaginable Futures. Thaís has worked as a consultant and project manager with organizations and initiatives focused on education, racial equity, popular education, and the solidarity economy.
In her previous role, she was responsible for managing a partnership through which she coordinated the development of a funding call for Black, Indigenous, and Quilombola-led organizations, in collaboration with funders organizations and an implementation partner. She also led governance and due diligence processes, monitored the portfolio of supported organizations, and managed the partnership’s finances and contracts.
She is particularly interested in building structures, relationships, and ways of working that strengthen organizations’ capacities. She believes management should be efficient, human, and collaborative, while remaining grounded in a commitment to social justice.

I’m on a mission to help people and organizations structure and sustain social impact initiatives.

To listen carefully to different stakeholders.

The openness and willingness to build the changes we want to see through collaboration and respect for the diverse peoples and histories of each territory.
Where is your happy place?
There are many places where I feel happy, but I believe that a pleasantly sunny day, the company of loved ones, being surrounded by nature, and/or good food can make any place happier.
What’s the closest thing to real magic in this world?
The wisdom of nature.

Autumn in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Both—watching the sunrise or sunset is always a spectacle to be appreciated.
