MegaEdu’s goal is to ensure all public schools in Brazil have high quality access to the internet by 2025, regardless of location or their unique needs by 2025. Their work includes producing data and research, developing data-driven solutions and providing technical support to schools.
Why We Invested
Limited access to the internet is a challenge facing public schools in many parts of Brazil. In partnership with the Lemann Foundation, we are supporting MegaEdu’s efforts to address the digital divide. In addition to working directly with states to increase broadband connections, MegaEdu will also use evidence-based storytelling, advocacy and data monitoring to share best practices and learnings. We believe that this work is an important step towards accelerating learning—and more importantly, bridging equity gaps—for Brazilians in the 21st century.
