Founded in 2015, Letrus is Brazil’s first literacy program that uses artificial intelligence to improve linguistic and writing skills among learners. Letrus received the global UNESCO King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa Prize for ICT in Education for its innovation within artificial intelligence and education.
Why We Invested
Letrus supports students’ writing and language skills through a platform that uses artificial intelligence to provide text corrections and suggestions. We believe that the Letrus platform could help increase language fluency across participating schools, while also offering a useful resource for teachers. We hope that the implementation of the program in public networks will help promote equity and inclusion among classes and schools in the same network.
