Why We Invested
The number of english language learners (ELL) in US schools is steadily growing- at approximately 14% of all students in public school. Two-thirds of ELL students come from low-income backgrounds. However, teachers and school districts struggle to meet the needs of ELL student. There is a wide and persistent achievement gap between ELL students and their native speaking peers. Ellevation is a platform exclusively focused on English Language Learners and the educators that serve them.
