Why We Invested
After our initial grant in 2005 to help the organization achieve national scale, in 2017 as DonorsChooselaunched for the first time with Head Start teachers across the country, it sparked our imagination around how their platform could support specific needs in early childhood classrooms. Through an Early Learning Innovation Challenge, Omidyar Network and DonorsChoose collaborated to ask pre-K teachers to submit their most creative project ideas for using technology in their classrooms.
